The Small Animal House

We have a selection of rabbits and other small animals currently looking for new homes. Not all of the animals may be featured below - some of the gerbils and hamsters are a little camera shy! Please visit the small animal house to meet all the animals.

RUSTY

Rabbit - Rex  Female  3 years  No
 History and Recommendations

reserved pending introduction and homecheck

Rusty is a friendly rabbit who likes being stroked (especially on her head), however she was not handled regularly in her previous home so she may kick out or scratch when being picked up. Rusty is a lively rabbit who has been used to having lots of freedom so would need to go to a home where she will have plenty of space (she would not be able to be kept just in a hutch). Rusty is a placid rabbit who is used to children and would make a rewarding pet for someone who can give her the space and attention she deserves.

 Breed  Sex  Age  Neutered
Rabbit - Netherland Dwarf X  Male  4 months  Yes
 History and Recommendations
Marmite is a friendly rabbit who is used to being handled but is not used to children. As he is young he would benefit from being handled to keep him tame. He has been used to living indoors so if he was to be kept outside in his new home he would need to be gradually acclimatised. Marmite is a lively rabbit who would make a rewarding pet for someone who can give him the time and attention he deserves.

 Breed  Sex  Age  Neutered
Lionhead X  Male  born December 2009  No
 History and Recommendations
Lou is a friendly rabbit who is used to being handled but is not used to children. As he is still young he would benefit from regular handling to keep him tame, he would also benefit from regular grooming to keep his "mane" in good condition. He has been used to living indoors so if he was to be kept outside in his new home he would need to be gradually acclimatised. Lou is a lively rabbit who would make a rewarding pet for someone who can give him the time and attention he deserves.

PEPPA

Photo of Peppa the rabbit

 Breed  Sex  Age  Neutered
Rabbit - Lop X  Female  5 months  No
 History and Recommendations
Peppa is a feisty rabbit who has not been used to being handled and will kick and scratch when being picked up. Because of this it would be best if she went to a home with a children over the age of ten or to a family whose children have had experience of handling fesity rabbits. Peppa does not like being confined and may become terratorial if kept in a hutch so would benefit from having pleny of space. She can dig so would need a secure garden that she cannot escape from!

As Peppa is still young she would benefit from regular handling to help her become more tame. She is a real character and would make a rewarding pet for someone who can give her the attention and space she requires.
